The Breakfast Room
The room we have today as a breakfast room seems to have been a painting room in its previous life. It can be seen, among other things, on the door to the room, where it seems that someone have cleaned brushes with different colors. This is supposed to be the oldest and original room in the house. The fireplace had the Santa chimney, where you could easily climb down. In some places, the windows have had broken glass for many years. This had led to rain, snow and wind making large holes in the old and very wide floorboards.
The floor was covered with a simple chipboard floor while waiting for us to prepare the original floor that remains underneath. The stove and chimney were prepared so that it could be used again. Windows were fitted with new glass and painted with linseed oil paint that was given a color as similar to the original as possible. The log walls were painted with glue paint. Interior windows were cutom fitted (all windows had different measurements).
